- Define, develop, and implement strategies for overall robust crop health management and sustainable agricultural production systems.
- Oversee applied laboratory research, (can we add some more lab-related responsibilities)
- Conceptualize & develop projects on bio-innovation and scale-up IPM programs for various crops.
- Implement and coordinate cutting-edge bio-innovation, field demonstration, and key stakeholders’ engagement.
- Prepare and promote quality inputs, good agriculture practices (GAP), residue management, and competitive agriculture production system as per the project requirements.
- Explore innovative methods of crop health management, including the use of digital agricultural technologies, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), and other disruptive technologies.
- Oversee field research, survey, and visits of team members and implement a scientifically sound methodology for data collection, coding, and analysis to support crop health management
- Other work as assigned by the SABC’s leadership

Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in entomology/pathology or any other plant protection related discipline from State Agricultural Universities and/or an institution of repute in the agriculture sector
- Must have qualified ICAR/CSIR/UGC NET
- Experience of working in a laboratory, handling of both biologicals, botanicals, and agrochemicals, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and field demonstration of IPM package of practices
- Proficiency in computer operations including MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel & Google Docs, etc
- Proficiency in English and good command over oral & written communication
- Good analytical skills and strong attention to detail
