Job Title: Executive Agri Business (AEFC)

The South Asia Biotechnology Centre (SABC) seeks technically qualified and highly motivated individual(s) to join the team of professionals who have been spearheading country’s dynamic, science-based and technology driven agriculture ecosystem under DBT’s Biotech Kisan hub for Western dry region and to develop a facilitative landscape for value chain development and agri & food export from Rajasthan under NABARD’s Agricultural Export Facilitation Centre (AEFC).
The South Asia Biotechnology Centre, a DSIR recognized Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) is a not-for-profit scientific organization that serves as a knowledge hub and helps in bridging the knowledge gap between science and society about bio-innovations and its vitally important contribution to the growth prospects for the bioeconomy of India. SABC undertakes multifaceted projects to facilitate transfer of technology and bio-innovation from the lab to the land, help growers to adopt scientific methods in food production systems for world-class quality produce, assist growers to improve realization by establishing robust value chain partnership and explore agri & food export opportunities in the rapidly evolving international trade dynamics.
Executive Agri Business (AEFC)*
- Post-graduate in agricultural economics or Agri-Business Management, preferably from State Agricultural Universities and/or an institution of repute in agriculture research and education system
- Must have qualified ICAR/CSIR/UGC NET
- Experience in aggregation, value chain development, entrepreneurship and agri export
- Proficiency in computer operations including MS Office, Power Point, Excel & Google Docs etc
- Proficiency in Hindi/English and good command over oral & written communication
- Good analytical skills and a strong attention to details
Job Description:
- Coordinate and execute activities related to Agri Export Facilitation Centre
- Collate database, information and create knowledge resources repository on agri-export
- Create web-based information, content and knowledge generation on agri-export
- Organize capacity development programs, handholding and skilling of agri and food stakeholders, entrepreneurs and agri businesses
- Facilitate exchange programs, interaction and engagement with diverse stakeholders to create an ecosystem for value chain development and agri export
- Other work as assigned by the SABC’s leadership
